Poetry: Mid-Life Crisis

“Start now, and try to survive for as long as you’ve been alive so far.”

Mid-Life Crisis

If I die at 63,
Forget the grief and sorrow.
For I can spend
Most of my years
Perfecting what I start tomorrow.

If I die at 62,
I wouldn’t be ecstatic.
Because the rest
Of life I’m left
Would leave me short of time to practice.
