Poetry: ‘Half-Barbour’

Half-Barbour
Half-Barbour, and half in denim,
Ugg boots in the rain,
When all is done, the bills will come,
We’ve spent a lot on credit.
Give up, today, the internet
And forget all the addresses.
A week without clothes
From shops that dare to tempt us.
Until we are an over-spent nation
In our purchased garb all equal.

No ‘them’.

-Unspent Flirtations
